A Sales Representative drives company revenue by identifying, engaging, and closing deals with new and existing customers. They manage the entire sales cycle—from prospecting, presenting products, and negotiating contracts to meeting sales targets. Key duties include product demonstrations, client relationship management, and submitting sales reports.

Core Responsibilities

Lead Generation & Prospecting: Identify potential clients through networking, cold calling, and market research to build a robust pipeline.

Sales Presentations: Demonstrate products or services, highlighting key features, benefits, and value propositions to prospective customers.

Negotiation & Closing: Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service agreements to close sales and meet or exceed monthly/quarterly targets.

Relationship Management: Maintain positive, long-term relationships with clients to ensure retention and secure repeat business.

Reporting & Administration: Prepare, track, and submit accurate sales reports, expense accounts, and customer records.

Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, market conditions, and industry developments to inform sales strategies.

Key Requirements & Skills

Experience: Proven track record in sales, customer service, or a relevant role.

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal, negotiation, and persuasion skills.

Goal-Oriented: Self-motivated with a strong drive to meet or exceed established sales quotas.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce), Microsoft Office Suite, or Google Workspace.

Education: A high school diploma is often required; a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field is preferred
